Staff product designer

Staff Product Designer for enterprise platforms, design systems, and product modernization.

I lead product design work where systems, workflow complexity, and implementation all matter at the same time. My background spans enterprise platforms, authenticated experiences, global marketing and eCommerce ecosystems, design systems, and AI-enabled product workflows built in close partnership with product and engineering.

The strongest leverage comes from improving how a product team works: clearer systems, better workflow decisions, stronger implementation alignment, and reusable patterns that hold up at scale.

Flagship work

Two core case-study anchors for enterprise product design and systems leadership.

These are the strongest proof points for Staff-level scope: platform modernization, workflow design, design systems, and implementation-aware product execution.

Flagship 01 · Design system

Radiance Design System

Built and documented the Radiance web design system to support modernization across Illumina’s global marketing platform, eCommerce surfaces, and authenticated digital experiences.

Problem
UI patterns were drifting across teams, slowing delivery, and making redesign work harder to scale across a connected product ecosystem.
Role
I led system structure, component definition, patterns, guidelines, and design-to-development documentation.
Scope
Shared UI components, repeatable templates, documentation in Zeroheight, and implementation guidance for product and engineering partners.
Outcome
Created a reusable system foundation that supported modernization work, reduced one-off decisions, and improved consistency across product surfaces.

Why it mattered

  • Reduced UI drift
  • Supported modernization
  • Improved handoff quality

Flagship 02 · Enterprise UX

Illumina Enterprise UX

Led product design initiatives across Illumina’s marketing platform, enterprise product modernization efforts, eCommerce flows, and authenticated digital experiences.

Problem
High-complexity experiences needed better structure, clearer workflows, and stronger continuity between product decisions, interface behavior, and technical delivery.
Role
I owned end-to-end product design across workflow definition, interaction models, interface redesigns, and implementation-ready specifications.
Scope
Included product detail pages, cart and checkout flows, personalization, experimentation, Gaia and Interstellar applications, and StrataMap Spatial work.
Outcome
Improved decision-making across teams, gave engineers clearer build targets, and helped move platform work from fragmented redesigns toward a more scalable product model.

Additional proof

Supporting work that reinforces product leadership, experimentation, and implementation range.

Product reboot

CrowdCue

Reframed the product around live event moments, simplified the shell, and reduced exploratory feature sprawl in favor of a more focused product direction.

Role: Product design direction, interaction structure, shell simplification

AI workflow

AI Design Workflow

Built AI-assisted workflows for prototyping, synthesis, and design-to-development collaboration with an emphasis on implementation realism rather than speculative output.

Role: Workflow definition, prototypes, evaluation of useful versus noisy AI behaviors

Approach

How I work with product and engineering to create leverage beyond the interface.

I start with the operating model

I work from task flows, states, dependencies, permissions, and business constraints first so the interface is built on a model that can survive real product complexity.

I use design to reduce ambiguity

My role is often to help teams make better decisions earlier: clarifying tradeoffs, tightening scope, and turning ambiguous requirements into something product and engineering can execute.

I collaborate through working artifacts

Prototypes, system guidance, flow models, specs, and documentation are how I align teams and reduce translation loss during delivery.

I look for repeatable leverage

The strongest outcome is not a single polished screen. It is a better system, a stronger workflow, cleaner implementation alignment, and decisions that scale across a product.
